Yesterday Adobe announced a free online version of Photoshop, called Photoshop Express. The speculation is that this is in response to other free online services like ones provided by Google and Microsoft. I am impressed by this move from Adobe. Not only are they offering a free tool, but you also get 2GB of online storage for your photos as well as gallery capability. I haven’t tested this yet, but I’m assuming we’ll see features like those in early versions of Photoshop Lite. Review to come!

Wow - I totally missed this. Ten years from now there probably won’t be any desktop apps anymore…

I agree. With today’s web technology, it is possible to do more things online than ever before. Plus applications could be updated much more frequently. And how convenient would it be to have access to all your files from wherever you are!

the only thing that worries me about this is the security aspect. Other than that, I’m all for it.
