Star Trek fans rejoice! Lock phasers on that gadget. You can simulate a Star Trek Tricorder on your iPhone or iPod touch by directing Safari to http://38i.biz/tricorder. This is a web app that’s optimized for the iPhone/iPod. It doesn’t do much, but it’s cool way to get show off your Trek nerdery.

What is a Tricorder you ask?
A tricorder is fictional handheld device used for scanning an area, interpreting and displaying data from scans to the user, and recording information to isolinear chips. Read all about it on Wikipedia.

Very nice… now you have to make it larger to fit the iPhone screen.
And why not turn it int o an app? That would be gr8!
